Trent Alexander-Arnold's rehabilitation is progressing well, giving a chance that the Madrid right-back might recover in time to confront his previous club Liverpool in the upcoming Champions League match.

The English international suffered a muscle problem while playing against Ligue 1 club Marseille in the group stage of the competition on 16 September.

Alexander-Arnold had to leave the pitch in the fifth minute, with early reports indicating a possible layoff of around six weeks.

Real Madrid are set to face Liverpool on 4 November for the Champions League fixture—precisely seven weeks after the injury occurred.

Sources close to the player's condition indicate that the defender's healing process is progressing well, and there is expectation that Alexander-Arnold might achieve his initial return to Anfield after signing for Real Madrid in the summer.

A lifelong Liverpool supporter, Alexander-Arnold earlier said that departing from the club he entered as a young academy talent was the "hardest decision he has ever made."

During his tenure with the Reds, Alexander-Arnold accumulated 354 games, helping secure multiple English top-flight championships, a European Cup, and the domestic cup.

After moving to Madrid, Alexander-Arnold has featured on five occasions across various tournaments, logging over two and a half hours of game time.
