President Trump Calls Families of Attacked National Guard Members to White House

Former President Donald Trump revealed on the weekend that he has invited the family of a Guard member killed last week to visit the presidential home.

He mentioned that he conversed with her parents and they were “heartbroken”.

Background on the Devastating Event

US army specialist Beckstrom, 20, was killed in a violent incident on last Wednesday in Washington DC.

Her comrade, Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, continues receiving treatment in serious condition.

Vigils across West Virginia have occurred in their memory.

White House Invitation

The president explained he’s discussed a visit to the White House for the loved ones of both individuals of the West Virginia Guard.

“I said: ‘When you’re prepared, because that’s a difficult moment, arrive at the White House. We’re going to honor Sarah,” Trump addressed the press. “And similarly with Andrew, no matter the outcome.”

Community Support

Attendees gathered over the weekend at the high school in West Virginia to remember Sarah.

Both she and Wolfe had been serving with the military unit as part of the president’s national effort to aid policing efforts in the capital.

Paying Tribute to Sarah Beckstrom

“She was the type of pupil that instructors desired. She conducted herself with calm resilience, a warm expression and a positive energy that encouraged people around her,” Hankins, the leader of her previous school, told the press. “She was sweet, compassionate and always eager to assist people.”

Service arrangements for Sarah are still being arranged.

Legal Measures and Policy Adjustments

Officials have accused a 29-year-old suspect with one count of murder and charges of violent assault while carrying a weapon.

The tragedy prompted the administration to halt asylum processing and halt granting visas to holders of travel documents.

Condition of the Airman

The airman, a native of Martinsburg, began his service in early 2019 and is a graduate of Musselman high school, per the news agency.

He is still undergoing care and is “fighting for his life”, the state’s governor Morrisey stated on a news program.

Attorney general the attorney general informed Fox News Sunday that she planned to speak to Wolfe’s family.

Legacy of the Fallen Soldier

Beckstrom, from Summersville, completed her education from Webster County High in mid-2023 and joined the military shortly after, working as a military police officer with honor, per the West Virginia National Guard.

“She had a lot of kindness and she absolutely had courage,” Morrisey addressed the crowd at the memorial. “Though her time ended too soon, she has left a mark that’s going to be remembered always.”
