Iran is willing to reinitiate nuclear discussions with the United States provided that it is handled with "respect" and "honor", Tehran's top diplomat has declared.

The Iranian diplomat stated solely negotiations worked, and disclosed fresh requests had originated from mediators to restart negotiations with the US government. He said Iran possessed no unreported enrichment locations, and Iran had not yet reached a point to authorize the UN nuclear inspectorate to visit attacked atomic facilities for protective measures.

Walking a Difficult Course

The foreign minister is treading a complex route since Iran aims to avoid appear to be proceeding from a situation of weakness, and he insisted repeatedly that Iran had arisen more powerful militarily and emotionally from the coordinated strike on its atomic facilities in June.

He was speaking at a defense forum in Tehran where he restated that Iran had "an absolute privilege to process nuclear material within its borders that it will always maintain" – the main reason of the impasse in the earlier negotiations.

Previous Talks Unexpectedly Terminated

The prior phases of negotiations between the United States and Iran were ended suddenly and hostile end on 12 June when the Israeli government, with American backing, struck Iran's enrichment centers in a fortnight-long engagement that ended with the US president declaring the locations had been obliterated. Subsequently, European countries exercised their authority to reimpose UN-wide sanctions, but Iran asserts they have not had a major impact.

Magic Solution Proposed

Tehran representatives claimed they felt they had achieved a "perfect agreement" to the enrichment issue in previous talks, when it was agreed an Iran-based consortium with Washington's engagement could refine atomic fuel. Both sides would have been able to claim victory since domestic enrichment would have continued and the US could be assured that Iran's enrichment initiative was exclusively peaceful.

It had not been agreed in the talks that Washington's technical specialists could operate inside Iran, but that was a natural consequence of the partnership suggestion. He said the assaults started with a Washington's ultimatum for an unconditional Iranian surrender and culminated with an absolute demand for a halt to hostilities.

Iran is certain the opening assaults from Tel Aviv were mounted with total Washington understanding and cooperation, making confidence difficult to restore.

The foreign minister declared: "It was not Iran that had fled negotiations; it was America and the European states that had repeatedly tried to enforce their desires during the negotiations. Dialogue can still be viable and stays the primary solution to settle disagreements, but its requirements, rules and tenets must be respected."

"Provided that they talk to the nation of Iran with the approach of respect and respect, they will obtain a response in the equivalent tone."

Restoration and Reconstruction

In what is described by Tehran representatives as the battle of repair and recovery, Araghchi stated he was confident Iran's security strengths "are much stronger than before 13 or 14 June of this year. Every aspect of our defense have been restored. We gained numerous insights from this conflict; we have come to know our personal limitations and the shortcomings of the opponent."

He continued: "We successfully passed this war. Our nuclear technology, which they intended to obliterate, continues to exist. The installations and gear, if destroyed, will be reconstructed; what is important is the will of the citizens of Tehran and then the national cohesion that they sought to undermine, but failed to break. The citizens of Tehran have grown more powerful, more united, and more supportive of the administration and the country in the face of this assault."
